Warren Abrahams - Rugby Creative Tribute

Crazy Catch UK is deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Warren Abrahams, a former Harliquins Academy coach and a respected figure in the international rugby scene. Warren passed away suddenly on 10 October 2025 while coaching at the Safari Sevens tournament in Kenya aged just 43.

His coaching career spanned continents and codes. He held roles with England Men’s Sevens, USA Women’s Sevens, and made history as Head Coach of Wales Women in 2020/21, becoming one of the first Black head coaches in the Welsh Rugby Union’s national setup. Most recently, he served as Head Coach of Belgium Women’s Sevens.

He founded the site Rugby Creative where he shared training drills developing elite handling skills and often incorpoated Crazy Catch into these session developing hand eye and vision skills as well as Rugby skills.
